FAQ & Contact Me — The Questions You’re Actually Thinking

Let’s clear up the practical stuff so you can focus on whether this feels right for you

Look, I know you’ve got questions. And probably some you’re too polite to ask. So let me answer the ones I get most often — plus a few you might not have thought of yet.

About Breathwork (The Basics)

“What exactly IS breathwork? And please don’t give me some mystical non-answer.”

Fair enough! Breathwork is using specific breathing techniques to influence how you feel — physically, emotionally, and mentally. Think of it as giving your nervous system a gentle reset instead of just hoping it sorts itself out.

Some techniques are calming (perfect for when your mind won’t stop spinning), others are energising (for when you feel flat), and some help you process emotions that have been stuck for ages.

No floating off required. Just practical tools that actually work.

“I’ve never done breathwork before. Will I look like an idiot?”

Nope. Everyone’s been breathing their whole life — we’re just going to do it more intentionally. Plus, I’ve seen everything from ugly crying to uncontrollable giggling. It’s all normal, and none of it makes you an idiot.

“What if I have a panic attack or feel claustrophobic?”

We go at your pace, always. If something doesn’t feel right, we stop or adjust. I’m trained to work safely with your nervous system, not override it. You’re in control throughout.

“Do you do that intense breathing where people shake and scream?”

Not unless you specifically want to explore that (and even then, we’d build up to it gradually). Most of my work is gentle and accessible. We’re aiming for sustainable transformation, not dramatic detox experiences.

About Working with Me

“Are you going to try to convert me to being Pagan?”

Laughs No! My Pagan practice informs how I work (seasonal awareness, connection to natural rhythms, that sort of thing), but I’m not here to convert anyone. You’re welcome exactly as you are, whatever your beliefs.

“What if I’m going through menopause and everything feels chaotic?”

Perfect — you’re exactly who I love working with. Midlife chaos is my specialty, and breathwork can be incredibly helpful for managing the physical and emotional rollercoaster of hormonal changes.

“I’m quite private. Will you make me share personal stuff in groups?”

Never. In group sessions, you share what feels comfortable. In one-to-one work, we go at your pace. I’m not here to pry — I’m here to help you breathe better.

“What’s your cancellation policy? Life is unpredictable right now.”

I get it — midlife is rarely predictable. For one-off sessions, just give me 24 hours notice if you can. For ongoing work, we’ll need a month’s notice to end the arrangement. But if life throws you a curveball, let’s talk — we’ll figure something out.

About Sessions & Practicalities

“Online or in person — which is better?”

Both work beautifully. Online gives you the comfort of your own space (and no travel time). In person gives you that extra sense of connection (plus I’m local to Salisbury if that helps). Your choice entirely.

“What should I wear? Do I need special equipment?”

Comfortable clothes you can breathe in easily. Maybe a blanket because you might get chilly. That’s it. No special mats, crystals, or subscription services required.

“How often should I do breathwork?”

For maintenance? A few minutes daily makes a difference. For transformation? Weekly sessions for a while, then as needed. But honestly, it depends on you and what you’re dealing with. We’ll figure out what works for your actual life.

“What if I fall asleep during a session?”

Then you probably needed the rest! Sometimes our nervous system just says “Right, we’re switching off now.” It’s fine — you’ll still get benefits from whatever we did before you dozed off.

“Can I bring my partner to a session?”

For one-to-one work, it’s usually just us (better for getting to the real stuff). But if there’s a specific reason you’d like them there, let’s chat about it.

About The Temple & Community

“What if I join the Temple and realise it’s not for me?”

Let me know within 7 days and we’ll sort out a refund. I’d rather you be somewhere that truly serves you than stay somewhere that doesn’t feel right.

“Are there difficult people in online communities? I can’t cope with drama right now.”

I curate the space carefully, and drama isn’t tolerated. We’re all adults dealing with real life — there’s no room for mean girls behaviour. Plus, it’s a small, intimate group where people actually get to know each other.

“What if I’m too busy to participate much?”

That’s fine — show up when you can. The replays and resources will be there when life calms down. This is meant to support your life, not add pressure to it.

Payment & Policies

“Do you offer payment plans?”

Yes, for the Wellness Programme and other multi-session work. Because feeling better shouldn’t depend on having a chunk of cash sitting around.

“What if I’m not satisfied?”

Contact me within 7 days and we’ll talk. I want you to get value from our work together. If something isn’t working, let’s figure out why and fix it — or arrange a refund if that’s more appropriate.

“Are you qualified to do this work?”

Yes — I’m a certified Influential Breathwork™ Coach and BreathHealing Release™ Practitioner (graduated 2024), currently training as an IBC Year 2 Breathwork Master. Plus over 20 years of spiritual practice and a lifetime of helping people in various roles.

But honestly? My qualifications matter less than whether you feel comfortable working with me.

If I haven’t answered what you’re wondering about, just ask. I’d rather give you a straight answer than have you sitting there wondering.
